How long does it take you to create a design?
Typically, it takes about two weeks to create small scale designs such as poster sets, editorial spreads, and logo design. For things such as large posters or infographics, packaging design, or more in depth concept ideas it will take three to four weeks. This timeline is before revision.
Can you create logos?
Yes, I can create logos. I can create anything from single logos to full brand kits with fonts, colors, and a logo.
How many revisions do I get?
For any project I start, three revisions are included in my cost and process. For more than three revisions a fair price will be decided upon based upon the revision that is asked for.
What can you design the quickest?
I can design editorial spreads, small posters, and podcast covers the most quickly. Logos do not take too much time if you already have a clear idea for your logo, but any project will take longer if a lot idea generation is required.
Do you design merchandise?
Yes I do design merchandise! Normally when I think about designing merchandise, I mean that I can design the logo and then fit it to specifications that will work well on particular merchandise, but if you have something else in mind, I'm sure we can work together to figure out how to get you what you need.
Do you have marketing experience?
I do indeed have marketing experience. I have taken multiple marketing courses and have certifications in digital marketing and social media marketing.
Will you work for free or for trade?
I will not work for free. I will in most cases not work for trade, but if that is all that you can offer, reach out to me and I can see what we can do. I make no promises that I will take your trade and you may have to pay or find a different designer, but I will at least listen to your offer.
Do you do sample work?
I do not do sample work. I have quite a few different designs in my portfolio and if you do not like what you see, you will not like sample work. I do offer revisions, but only three are included in the price of a project.
What files will I get?
After the final edits have been made and approved, you will get a PDF and a PNG depending on the project type. If you need the packaged project or other file types, we can communicate about that.
How much will it cost?
One of my goals is to be affordable so I charge $25 an hour for most projects. If the project is extremely in depth or cannot be measured in hours, there will be communication about flat rates for projects and revisions.
What do you need from me?
From you, I will need any content that you want to have included in the design, a general idea, and any rules or values that you may want implemented. For example, if you want a logo and your company values team work and the brand colors are blue and orange, I would need to know that so that I could implement it into the design.
What is your prior experience?
I have four years of experience as a designer and photographer working towards my degree along with many freelance designs and photography sessions for small businesses or network connections.
